Summary
AHR will work with Thomas Elder Institute and RMCG on this pilot project to scope new processes for delivering extension with horticultural industries in Australia.
The overall objectives of the proposed action research pilot are to:
Strengthen pathways to extend the results of R,D&E including further understanding of the barriers to adoption through private sector advisors.
Generate knowledge, technologies, products or processes to benefit growers through integrating knowledge, attitudes, skills and aspirations (KASA) into the adoption of best management practices and innovations in the horticultural industries.
Establish and foster industry, research and private sector advisor collaborations (and in particular with the agribusiness reseller network using Elders as a pilot project) that form the basis for ongoing innovation and growth of Australian horticulture, including providing feedback relating to industry needs to Hort Innovation.
