Summary
This project is all about building soil wealth and protecting vegetable crops (incl. potatoes). Protecting crops and maintaining healthy soils is vital for Australian vegetable producers to improve productivity, profitability and sustainability.
The Soil Wealth and Integrated Crop Protection project provides research and development (R&D) extension services, products and communication on improved soil management and plant health to the Australian vegetable industry. Activities include workshops, demo sites, master classes (nutrition, soil biology…), training, webinars… in addition to resources created including podcasts, fact sheets, global scans and case studies on different technical topics.
An important output of the project is the one-stop website (https://www.soilwealth.com.au) announcing events organised and bringing together the range of resources to build capacity within the vegetable industry to achieve better soil management and crop protection and improved long-term crop returns.
